Joanna Staniskizis ia a Canadian textile artist whose commission works hang in prominent buildings around the world.  This dress is part of her linen series.  She uses natural linen, which is very rare and difficult to find in it's pure state.  With only a few of these mills that produce this natural linen left in the world, she travels to France to find this rare and precious material.
Natural dyes are used on this linen cloth. The pattern designs are from her own photographic images, translated into large screens for printing. These garments are not meant to be form fitting, but rather to float around the body.  Her work has been shown in public museums, private collections and the Louis Gallery.  What a wonderful piece of artwork , form a very accomplished artist.  From her linen series, these garments start at 0.00.
