Starter batteries contain lead and must therefore not be disposed of with household waste. For this purpose, they are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out garbage can with the chemical symbol of the heavy metal (Pb = lead) which is decisive for the classification as containing harmful substances.
According to § 11 BattG, end users are obliged to return used starter batteries to suitable locations. Suitable bodies are, for example, the battery distributor (i.e. we if you bought the battery from us) and the public waste disposal facilities.
The refund of the deposit will be carried out by us after sending the completed and signed battery deposit. Alternatively, old batteries can also be returned to us, whereupon the battery deposit will be refunded by us immediately.
We ask you to refrain from returning it by post, as filled batteries are considered dangerous goods.
