    Description

Offered here is a great playing
    Takezawa Grenadilla Wood C Piccolo
. This little beauty features the split e mechanism so popular with many flute players. The tone is full and rich in the lower register with some edge and clear and bright in the upper register. It responds without any hesitation in all registers. The key action is quick and very smooth.
This instrument has been completely refurbished. It has been disassembled, lightly oiled (inside and out), all new double skin pads, all new corks and then reassembled. After, I have play tested it (extensively) and adjusted it to my playing requirements.
The wood is in wonderful condition. Unfortunately, the head joint was cracked beyond repair when I bought this piccolo, so I have replaced it with a composite head joint. If you are looking for a darker sound, I suspect that fitting this instrument with a different head joint would accomplish this.
I am a retired music teacher and professional woodwind performer with over 60 years experience. Since my retirement from teaching, I have maintained an active schedule as a performer and have set about to find good quality instruments in need of repair, which I get back into as good a condition as possible and then get them into the hands of someone who will use it well.  Why settle for an inferior plastic instrument when for less money you can have a beautiful wood instrument. My prices cover my costs (most of the time).
I offer instruments which I am proud to sell and you'll be proud to own.
One of my favorite reviews here is, "I came as a customer and left as a friend." If you are not happy with your purchase for any reason, simply return it.
