    Description

    This is a very rare mid century modern fiber art offering by California artist, Lucile Brokaw (1915-1984). She called this type of fiber art: cousage. It measures 24 x 36 inches. On verso it is signed along with various "years of the serpent" that are associated with the Chinese zodiac. Also on verso is a  gallery label from the prestigious Adele Bednarz Galleries in Los Angeles and a paper sticker with "Year of the Serpent, 1968". Lucile Brokaw's work has been at the Museum of Modern Art in New York; Whitney Museum of American Art; and also at the Smithsonian.
    This is part of a collection of her work to be sold on eBay.
