This auction is for an R13 Professional Wood Clarinet made by Buffet Crampon and a a nice buffet case in beautiful condition. This
modern professional clarinet is widely regarded as the professional standard for clarinets.
Buffet is known for making some of the best clarinets available, and this instrument is no different.
The instrument has been completely repadded as part of our overhaul process and was originally manufactured in the 1990s.
In terms of cosmetic condition, this instrument is in nice shape, but does show some surface wear from use.
There is a repaired crack going down to the register key, but the instrument seals well and it plays like an R13 should: amazingly well.
The keys were polished to a high shine, but have some scratches and the copper under layer is visible in several locations..
The wood is in very nice condition with no cracks or crack repairs observed during the overhaul process.
The instrument plays amazingly well, as is expected from an R13.
It has a great dark tone, even intonation, and nice response.
Also included is a nice newer case.
No mouthpiece is included because you will want to find one that works well for your personal playing style.
