    MID 20th CENTURY SOUTHEAST ASIAN FABRIC PAINTING. HAND PAINTED FLOWERS AND BUTTERFLIES ON SILK. FRAMED.
    This piece was purchased in an antiques market in Hong Kong in the mid 70s already then being sold
    as an antique or the export market. It is hand painted silk piece from one of the Indonesian islands. It is in a beautiful primitive
    style and a striking decorative piece. The overall effect is one of flowers and butterflies in a surreal Asian garden with a slight French primitive influence.
    Primary colors are blue, green, and gold.
    There are no tears or worn spots in the fabric. The colors are vivid greens, blues, and pinks. In the frame the piece measures 23" x 71".
