I came into possession of this bike in May of 2021. I acquired it from a gentleman who purchased the bike from an old woman. When he purchased the bike the woman told a story of her husband being the original owner who swapped the Bonneville motor for another motor. Come to find out it’s a Tiger motor. The number on the motor reads “KD 59402 TR6R”. She also had stated that the new motor had been rebuilt. I later come to find out that not only is it a tiger motor but has a Bonneville carburetor setup on it. When asking a mechanic I know what year he thought the tiger motor may have been he had mentioned he thought it was a 1970 as well but can’t prove it for sure. The paint on the tank is original and boasts one of the most gorgeous patinas I’ve ever seen. The chrome on the motor is impeccable. Chrome on the exhaust is also beautiful with no signs of rust. The whole bike shows zero signs of rust. There is a chip in the paint on the frame which I can provide upon request. I have 10 or 15 more pictures I’m happy to send upon request! When I first acquired the bike it was not running and had apparently been sitting for 10+ years. I have just recently put away the time to bring her back to life, (I’ve been busy just had my first kid right before acquiring the bike!) she’s just been sitting in my shop along with the rest of the collection. I brought it down to Austin TX to Milestone Motorcycles and had the tank treated and carbs rebuilt just this past month. The bike seems to be in very healthy condition. She shifts through her gears smooth and is strong and smooth revving through each gear. Speedometer and tachometer are fully functional. Headlight is fully functional with both high and low beam. As well as high beam indication light. Tail light is also fully functional. The VIN number on frame reads GD53549TT120R which matches the title which is free and clear in my name! Mileage on odometer reads 96099. From what I was told the bike was ridden very seldom after motor was swapped and than stored away after the man had passed away. You can check out a video of the bike titled “For Sale - 1970 Triumph Bonneville Tiger Motor Swap” my YouTube channel name is “sayerhage”Bike is located in Alto TX at my home.
